Bryony Visits

The day started with a bit of a hangover for me. Emma had slept OK, but woke for feeds at 2.30am and 3.30am which she doesn't normally do, and poor Helen was tired by the morning. I took Emma for a few hours after 8am to let Helen sleep.

Bryony arrived at half past ten and was having a lovely time holding Emma first inside then outside with Tigger entertaining us by attacking his toy mouse.

We went to The Crown at Churchill for lunch where we had ploughmans for lunch and we mixed and matched desserts afterwards. Bryony and Andrew have a holiday planned soon where they will travel to Normandy with D-Day veterans to visit the landing beaches and battlefields. They both work for museums in Portsmouth.

We visited Margaret & Terry, Bryony's mum and her husband in Clevedon when we got back from the pub. They have a lovely house with a blooming garden very close to the centre of Clevedon. Margaret held Emma whilst she slept then fed her some milk Helen had expressed earlier. We repaid their hospitality by removing some stubborn nails from a bird table that had broken.

When we got back we did some more wine making by syphoning the dandelion and rhubarb wines off their lees, then some filtering. Helen went off for a walk with Emma in the sling and took these pictures:
