It's been a case of good day - bad day since the weekend. Tuesday (Rob's birthday) was a day when our daughter was swapped for a demonic spirit. She demanded constant feeding and wouldn't take no for an answer. I was at work and Rob and Leila were off enjoying Bristol's waterways with a very successful boat trip. She'd not slept for more than a few hours at a time the night before. By the end of the day Helen was shattered.
During the day, she and Becky had cooked and organised a Tapas style party for all of us and especially her dad Rob for his birthday. The food was delicious and the wine was flowing - resulting in a good headache for me this morning. As soon as the food was ready, Emma had an hour long scream, meaning Helen missed most of the sit down.

The week had started well on Monday. Helen set up a doorway baby bouncer that Emma's cousins had used and grown out of. It was a hit with Emma who enjoyed a good balance in it.
Today, Emma's been mostly perfect. After her party pooping attempy yesterday, she was tired and slept for long periods today.

We met with John and Rowan in Weston and visited the beach and shops. Helen's cynicism about Weston's drug addict population and visiting Brummie tourists was evident, but by the end of the day she admitted that she'd rather enjoyed the beach and walk along the front. We had a pleasant lunch at a small cafe near the sea front, then a visit to baby shops.

Emma was very sweet when we got home, cooing and smiling, but then suddenly started screaming and crying. It lasted about 30 minutes, then she slept. It again coincided perfectly with our meal. I think she might be encouraging us to diet by disrupting our eating. It may have been her getting to used to the baby grow bag that we's dressed her in for the first time. It's supposed to be like a sleeping bag that makes them comfortable.

Here's a picture of Becky and Rob's kitten on Tigger's old bed that he never used. Cute huh?
