Emma seems to be rapidly expanding - she is only just fitting into her newborn & many of the 0-3 months clothes. We will have to go on a girly clothes shop soon!!
Wonderful news from Sam & Louise Nyman - they had a beautiful baby girl called Roxanna Lola. Weighed in at 7lb 10oz. Well done!!! Huge congratulations also to the proud new grandparents David & Angela. Look forward to the photos!!!!

Well, Emma seems to be growing up quickly. She has taken a huge liking to the Tommee Tippee Tortoise (try saying that after a few shandies!!!) Here she is on the left enjoying the 'You are my sunshine' song, waving her arms and legs about, grabbing the tortoises hat, and smiling loads. Many thanks to Craig & Sharon for this fab pressie!
Emmas sleep pattern seems to becoming more established now. Emma will only doze for a maximum of one hour during the day. She becomes pure poison in the evening if she is not fed and in her cot around 8pm. This is great for a quiet evening - we have even watched a film ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Amazing. Emma usually has another feed about 3am and is up around 6 or 7am for a morning slurp. We are hoping that a full nights sleep is not too much in the distant future!!!!!!!
Emma is becoming a real little smiler now. On friday we went out for lunch with Grandma Annear. When we went back to her flat to look at old photos, Emma was beaming at Grandma!! We have also noticed a very odd thing. When Emma was having a major scream I (Helen) started feeling a bit mad, and started speaking to Emma in (very bad) french. She suddenly started smiling and almost laughing. This has continued and seems to have a very calming effect on Emma. Not good news for me, as I am only able to spout out very garbled nonsense!!!!!! Dave often has his head in his hands listening to my efforts!
Emma continues to enjoy the doorway bouncer - she is beginning to understand that moving her legs helps her to bounce. Can't wait until she really gets the hang of it!!
We seem to have developed a greater tolerance of Emmas screams. Never thought I would admit this, but we seem to have a knack of knowing how to stop her reaching the dreaded crescendo, and when she does, have stopped panicking and dashing about. Do parents develop a scream filter?
We are planning to go to the cinema today to see 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Should be an interesting venture.....
