The Longest Post Ever?

Certainly the most overdue...

Helen and I have been very busy. Not least because Emma's started walking. Everywhere! Also we've busy with the wonderful wedding of Helen's sister Becky and her blushing groom, Rob. So there's LOADS of pictures! Enjoy. For the best pictures of the wedding, Robin has collected his favourites here: http://picasaweb.google.com/prodnose/BexAndRobSWedding

Becky celebrated her Hen Night on July 21st with a trip to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, and then a trip on the Balmoral. Helen got lots of pirate paraphenalia to give it a theme!

Emma was very pleased to be invited on the zoo leg!

Here are some photos taken when Leila's cousin John visited with his wife and children on July 23rd. We had a fun night in. Emma enjoyed staying up until gone 8pm, well past her bedtime!

Here's Emma demonstrating a love for blueberries. In fact she's keen on most berries and currants, even sour redcurrants!
H
Here she is showing off some ball skills, and some climbing skills. Her bench and football seem to be her favourite toys at the moment.

This picture was taken a week before the wedding and shows the bridesmaid, Becky Vanderburgh and Helen trying on their dresses with the Bride-to-Be, Becky.

Here's a trip to the park Helen took with her friends Kelly, Jo and Mary and their children Isabella, CJ and Eleni.

Here's a cute picture of Eleni.

On the weekend before the wedding, Helen and I had very relaxed time. Emma had a suck on a goat bell in the morning, then we settled down to a cooked breakfast. Emma enojyed a little black pudding.... although admittedly not a lot!

We went to the park and she had a see-saw with a girl who was almost her look-a-like!

We took a walk along the sea front and found a band playing in the bandstand. Emma had a little wiggle-dance to the delight of some old ladies!

When we got back, Emma enjoyed pointed out the ants on the patio, accidentally squashing a few in the process. She has started to say "look!" when she points.

Leila and Rob both had Tuesday off and shared the looking after of Emma while Helen was at work.

On the Wednesday, I was in charge on my day off and had Emma helping me to cork some peach wine. She was very good with the hammer!

I didn't forget the suncream - although it may have needed a little more rubbing in!

Here's Emma meeting the neighbour's dog. And then being chased by the lawn mower. The smudge on the pictures is thanks to Emma's sticky finger. She is unsurprisingly drawn to the camera and has now figured out that she can open the lens cap and poke the lens.

The white dot in the middle is Emma retreating from Zak, Adrian and myself on the Salthouse fields. Emma was determined to make friends with the most distant people.

Here's Emma helping to prepare a big batch of root vegetables that we kept dipping in to for a few days. And yes, I was being VERY careful with the knife.

Emma enjoyed chewing on the carrot. Shame she still hasn't got any teeth. We think some may be on the way at the moment. Watch this gummy space!

A banana was much more to her liking. Look closely and you'll see a bean in her mouth too.

Here's Emma grabbing Rob's nose at Robin's birthday celebration up at The Cellar.

These next two pictures were taken with our new phones! Emma sucked Helen's phone into silence so we now have second hand camera phones. Oooh, the technology!

The second picture shows Rob & Leila second bedroom converted into the Bride-to-Be's last pre-wedding bedroom. If you look VERY closely, you may be able to see confetti on the bed!

Next are some pictures of post wedding garden celebrations.

Rob and Leila now have a slide in their garden that their neighbour's children have finished with. Emma surprised us all by taking to it like a duck to water. Right up to climbing the ladder and sliding down supporting her wieght sat up!

She enjoyed a cool off with a water spray from Gramma. While loading band equipment into the car, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw something shining under the car seat. I felt like Gollum in the river. My wedding ring, lost since December, was sat there under the rear car seat. As Robin pointed out, all those months of wondering where it was and had been inches from my arse!

Here's a photo of me showing off the ring. And one of myself with Helen.

This breadmaker is now ours. And its all thanks to Robin's birthday. We clubbed together to get him a Panasonic breadmaker, then claimed his old one as our own. It may not have a raisin dispenser, but Helen managed to bake some nice wholemeal, then some rosemary ciabatta, and today some white bread.

Here's a picture of Emma feeding the ducks (with some rosemary ciabatta bread). And one taken at the Crab Apple where I met with Adrian and Zach. I enjoy meeting him on Wednesdays for a chat and a baby juggle. Emma had fun meeting Zach again, especially patting him on the head.

Here's Emma on a springy animal at the park.
