Emma has really moved on, in every sense! She is now crawling all over the place & is starting to manage (!!!) steps. We have had to do several emergency sprints to stop her from toppling out of the front door. The little monkey!!
Emma has also moved on to elementary carpentry. She was busy helping her dad put some Ikea shelves together last week. Her help consisteted largely of gnawing on the polystyrene inserts...
We went off last wednesday to get Emma weighed. She is now 17lbs 13oz - still a wee snip of a girl. She was lucky enough to get two free books when she went, which she is seen enjoying above in her new car seat.
We went for a quick drink in 'The Crown' pub in Churchill, then tried out her new back pack in the surrounding countryside. She seemed to like her new transport & had great fun shouting at cows & rabbits on the way!
Craig & Sharon visited on Saturday & we met in Bristol. We had a nice lunch & shop in the very lovely 'Fresh & Wild' store, then headed back home. We had our supper in the 'Salthouse' in Clevedon. Emma tucked into approximately 7 olives - unfortunately all at once!! She is seen pursing her lips under the strain above & some escapee olive making a break for it below.
We decided that her young cheeks couldn't withold the strain, and freed some (above).
On Sunday we had invited Mum & Dad to a barbecue. The day turned out to be a really lovely social gathering. We had a surprise visit from Nancy, who is expecting a little girl at the end of this month. Becky& Rob, & Jon & Shirley also popped in for a visit. A very pleasant day was had by all!
Birthday business & chocolate button eating above.
What a picture!!
Both Rob & Dave were admiring Emma's hat. It was only a matter of time...
Tuesday of this week started cold & windy, but ended up a scorcher! Emma is seen cooling off in the Coles garden after some water play. She has also learned a new trick of making her voice sound funny by doing silly coughs into Mum's coke can.
