Balloons and Bridges

As was mentioned in the last post, Emma is crawling and "cruising" everywhere! Here she is using the vacuum cleaner as a prop. Helen got us a set of stair gates that now grace the top and bottom of the stairs and the way in to the kitchen. Of course we don't want Emma bouncing down the stairs, but now I have to remember to leave an extra 10 seconds childlock breaking time to visit the toilet!

We had a lovely evening on Saturday. Bryony and Andrew were visiting Clevedon and together with Kath came round from dinner. The three girls all went to school together so it was a good reunion. Bryony brought some modelling balloons for us to play with.

Kath won the prize for best beastie.

I created something but then couldn't decide exactly what it was.

Emma enjoyed playing with the balloons the next morning. She had stayed up until nearly 8pm - well past her bedtime, but missed out on the balloons.

The next day after a cleaning frenzy fuelled by strong coffee, we headed off for a walk over the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

This was one of those "Look at the view, no not my finger!" moments.

We ate in a small cafe called Cerise in Clifton. Emma was mostly good but got a bit crabby towards the end.

Some wisteria we photographed for Gramma Leila.

On the way back to the car (parked the other side of the bridge to avoid the 50p toll) we walked up to the Camera Obscura. We wanted to go down in the lift to see the cave underneath but there was a minimum age limit of 4.

To my surprise, as I was gazing down the cliff, I saw a man climbing up! Braver than I.
