We Got Our Baby Back!

Well, we didn't really lose her, but it felt like it for a a few days last week. Her nausea stopped last Thursday and by the weekend she was back to normal again. Both she and us enjoyed administering lots of custard and sweet drinks to boost her strength. We had a few bad nights when she woke screaming at 3am with hunger. She needed feeding up lots! Helen took Emma to the health visitors to be weighed this week and she's still around 18 pounds - the same as a month ago. Here's some pictures of her feeding up....

Leila was happy to get her little munchkin back to normal.

On Sunday we had Bex, Rob x 2, Leila, Connie and Nanna around for a Mothering Sunday meal. We cooked a roast goose with vegetables. The goose turned out nicely, it tasted somewhere in between chicken and duck. The carcass boiled down well and we had goose soup all week!
Emma's lunch was some of the vegetables rounded off with a blueberry muffin. Which she ate very tidily of course...

Here's Nanna helping with the washing up. I think she only volunteered so she could wear our indecent apron!

Here's some nice pictures Helen took of the two of them playing.

I had a five and a half day week this week as I had to cover some illness. This weekend I've noticed a real change in Emma's strength since last week. Her balance is better too and she's starting to be able to walk along with the trolley unaided now. She's even started some tummy wriggling! She moves up on to her hands and feet and then hops to move forwards. Stay tuned for more photos...
